A few months ago, Amanda De Cadenet appealed for writers on Twitter. Some of my followers suggested me. I met with Amanda in LA, and it turned out she has created an almighty network for women called, The Conversation. When she asked me to be involved, I jumped at the chance. It is a community of honest, funny and inspiring women, and you can be involved too. Here is my first blog post. It’s about how broke I have been for the last few years, and how that nearly broke me….
Rumble in the Jumble – Oxfam International Women’s Day
In Uncategorized, Video Blogs on March 1, 2012 at 12:06 amThis made me so proud, then it made me cry. We raised over 7k for International Women’s Day. That will train over 150 midwives in Ghana. Did you know that every minute a woman dies in natural childbirth because she doesn’t have the medical care she deserves?
It doesn’t have to be that way, we can all help them.
This wasn’t just a jumble sale, it was a jumble sale that will save hundreds of lives. Thank you to everyone who helped and came, we couldn’t have done it without you!
Please be inspired to host your own Get Together event. Anything…a curry night, a jumble sale, a dancing competition…whatever it may be just do it, it’s worth every effort.
Watch our video to see how we did it.
